In this art glass workshop, you will learn the very basics of kiln fused glass work. Topics discussed will be safety, glass compatibility, glass colorings, types of glass, tools needed, kiln information on fused glass manufacturers. Demonstrations of how to score and break glass, layout and design suggestions. Bring in your ideas for art or you may want to look through my many colorful fused glass pictures.
Your art piece will be carefully fired and annealed in a digital kiln at Palm Cottage Glass Studio. After firing, the pre-made tealight glass square holder will be permanently attached to the back of your art glass panel. Your beautiful finished tealight will be brought back to the Columbia County Library for pick up Mondays 5:30-6pm or alternate arrangements can be made.
